Carter is also a successful entrepreneur, having co-founded, built, and sold a successful company that delivers specialized information management services to large and medium-sized institutions.
Throughout his career, Carter’s desired outcome for his clients has been “to help persons achieve a better quality of life for themselves and [their] families by providing solutions that allow them to attain their goals and a better quality of life”. Carter serves on a number of corporate boards, and enjoys developing students and sharing his experience with them when lecturing in Corporate Finance at the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business.
Carter holds a BSc (Hons) in Business Management with a major in Accounting from the University of the West Indies and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the New York University-Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
Representing JMMB on the panel, Carter speaks to how bankable each business or idea really is, and answers the question of whether the entrepreneur really needs a new investor or if they should seek debt financing instead. His commentary brings a new line of reasoning and a unique twist to the panel.
